The use of the online store, its websites and the services provided in general by the visitor/user presupposes his/her unconditional agreement with the following terms of use, which apply to all content contained on its website.

Customer is the natural or legal person who visited, used the services or bought products in the online store (web store) www.kourtis.gr.
The Terms of Sale (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) regulate the rights and obligations of the Customer and the Seller, the prices of the goods, the payment process, the terms, the delivery, the guarantee of the quality of the goods, the return and exchange of products, the responsibility.
2. General provisions
These Terms, upon their approval by the Customer (provided that he/she reads the Terms and check the sentence “I have read and agree with the terms and conditions of”www.kourtis.gr) are legally binding on the parties and govern the rights and obligations of the Customer and the Seller, the terms of purchase and payment of the products, the manner of delivery and return of the products, the responsibility of the parties and other issues related to the purchase and sale of products in the online storewww.kourtis.gr.
The online store www.kourtis.gr sells in the territory of the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Cyprus, as well as in the other countries of the European Union.
In our online store they have the right to buy:
- natural persons who have reached the prescribed age of legal capacity, whose legal capacity is not limited by the court (guardianship, etc.).
- minors between the ages of fourteen (14) and eighteen (18) years, only with the consent of their parents or guardians.

The Seller reserves the right to modify or supplement the Terms at any time in case of need or under the conditions provided in the legislation of the Hellenic Republic. Customers will be informed about this by connecting to www.kourtis.gror by purchasing products for the first time after the entry into force of the new Terms. Therefore, the Customer is requested to check the content of the Terms for any changes.
If the Seller has the right or obligation to provide documents or information to the Customer by e-mail, the Customer is solely responsible for providing the Seller with a functional and proprietary email address.
The online store www.kourtis.gr provides Secure Electronic Transactions. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol, key encryption, size 2048 bits are applied in the online store.
3. Privacy Policy
The person in charge of personal data processing (hereinafter “data controller”) of the online store www.kourtis.gr is the societe anonyme under the name with number GEMI 153203201000 and TIN 801271856, with mailing address: 6 Malakonta, Kifissia Attica, PC: 14564, Hellas, and email address: maroussi@kourtis.gr, which also has the status of Seller.
The rules for the processing of personal data (hereinafter the “Rules”) regulate the basic principles of collection, processing and storage of personal data, on which the data controller is based when processing the Customer’s personal data (visitor / registered user / buyer).
The operation of the online store is governed at the same time by the use of the currentCode of Ethics. Customer data is collected for specified and legitimate purposes, and is processed fairly and accurately. Personal data is processed by secure means to prevent such data from unlawful destruction, disclosure or other illegal activity.
The Customer agrees that the personal data he submits voluntarily at the time of the order ((either with registration or without registration on this website) will be processed for the purpose of selling products and services in the online store www.kourtis.gr and in accordance with these Rules.
When ordering the products, the Customer must indicate in the relevant information fields provided by the Seller the personal data necessary for the correct execution of the order: name, surname, delivery address, telephone and e-mail address.
By agreeing that his / her personal data will be processed for the purpose of selling products and services in the Seller ‘s online store, Customer also agrees to submit the e – mail address and telephone number that he / she determines in order for the messages necessary to complete the order to be sent to these contact details information.
The data controller recognizes and respects the right to privacy of each Customer who orders from the online store www.kourtis.gr. The data controller collects and uses the Customer’s personal data (name or surname, address, telephone number, email address and other information provided by the online store at the time of ordering) to process orders or fulfill other contractual obligations. The Customer may express his consent or disapproval of the use of his personal data for direct marketing purposes. It does this by selecting the “I agree that my personal data will be used for direct marketing” box. The Seller then sends a regular newsletter to the Customer’s email address. Each of this e-mail allows the Customer to unsubscribe from the newsletter [at the end of the newsletter there is an option “Unsubscribe (= Delete)”], so that the Customer stop receiving the newsletter, if he decides to at any time. Customer should be aware that mailing lists are independent of each other. If it decides to unsubscribe from the Seller’s newsletter, it will continue to receive emails about its account, such as order status notifications, password reset messages, and more. If he/she decides that it no longer wants to use the Seller’s store and wishes to remove his/her personal data from the Seller’s database (or if he/she wishes to obtain all personal data associated with his/her account), he/she may send a relevant e -mail at maroussi@kourtis.gr.
The Seller confirms that the personal data provided by the Customer will be processed exclusively for the purpose of selling products and services in the online store www.kourtis.gr for the purpose of analyzing the Seller’s activities and direct marketing, unless the Customer has refuse the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes. The Seller undertakes not to disclose the Customer’s personal data to third parties, except executives, employees, associates (in case the Customer wishes to order partner services offered by the Seller’s Online Store) or the added/fulfilling assistants of the Seller providing delivery services or other services related to the proper execution of the Customer’s order. In all other cases, the Customer’s personal data may be disclosed to third parties only in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Hellenic Republic.
Personal data that has been agreed to be used for direct marketing purposes is stored in an active database and used for three (3) years for direct marketing purposes. After this period, customer data is immediately (automatically) destroyed. Personal data is automatically destroyed by the controller.
The processing of personal data is done in accordance with the provisions of the General Regulation of Personal Data Protection (GRPDP 2016/679), any more specific national and European legislation for certain areas, the current Greek legislation for the protection of personal data, as well as for the protection personal data and privacy in the field of electronic communications (Law 3471/2006, as applicable) and the decisions of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA).
Obligation of Transparency
The Customer has the right to access his personal data, as well as the right to correct or delete incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate personal data via e-mail: maroussi@kourtis.gr or by calling +30 210 8066245. In this case, the Seller must immediately implement the Customer’s request (within 1-2 days). Change of rules
The data controller has the right to partially or completely replace the Rules, notifying them in the online store of www.kourtis.gr.
The additions or amendments to the Rules come into force from the date of their publication, ie from the day they appear in the online store www.kourtis.gr. 4. The conclusion of the contract of sale

The agreement between the Customer and the Seller is considered to be concluded from the moment that the Customer, after selecting the item to be purchased, “clicks” on the “Order” link and when the Seller contacts the Customer by phone or email specified by Customer. Each purchase agreement between Customer and Seller is registered and stored in the electronic database of www.kourtis.gr.
5. Customer Rights
The Customer will have the right to purchase the products in the online store www.kourtis.gr according to the procedure defined in these Terms and in other parts of the website of the Seller’s online store.
The Customer has the right to access his/her personal data and the right to request the correction of incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate personal data via e-mail: maroussi@kourtis.gr or by calling +210 8066 245. In this case, the Seller must comply immediately with Customer request (within 1-2 business days).
The Customer has the right to withdraw from the contract of purchase and sale of products concluded with the online store www.kourtis.gr,notifying the Seller in writing (by e-mail, indicating the item to be returned and his order number) no later than fourteen (14) days from the day of delivery. The Customer can exercise the right of withdrawal only if the item has not been damaged, has not been damaged regarding its appearance, has not been moved to another place from the place of delivery, has not been used and has been kept in its original packaging. The return costs are borne by the Customer.
6. Obligations of the Customer
The Customer must pay for the products on time, accept them or return them in accordance with the procedure set out in these Terms. In case of change of order by the Customer, he must immediately inform the Seller.
7. Seller Rights
The Seller has the right to determine the minimum size of the shopping cart, ie the minimum amount with which the Customer’s order will be executed. This amount is visible when viewing the shopping cart.
If the Customer attempts to undermine the stability and security of the online store or violates his/her obligations, the Seller has the right to limit or suspend immediately and without notice the use of the online store or in exceptional cases to cancel the Customer registration.
In severe cases, the Seller may suspend or terminate the online store without notice to Customer.
The Seller has the right to cancel the order without prior notice to the Customer, if the Customer does not pay the price of the products within seven (7) working days from the payment by bank transfer.
The Seller reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of delivery or to terminate the order without delay due to important reasons, notifying the Customer and returning the payment, if the Customer has already paid for it.
8. Seller Obligations
The Seller undertakes the obligation to provide the Customer with access to the services provided by the online store www.kourtis.gr in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in these Terms and other parts of the online store.
The Seller undertakes the obligation to respect the Customer’s right to privacy in personal information that belongs to him/her, ie to process the personal data determined by the Customer.
The Seller undertakes the obligation to deliver the products ordered by the Customer to the address specified by the Customer under the terms specified in the Term [10].
If the Seller is not able to deliver to the Customer the ordered product due to significant circumstances, the Seller undertakes the obligation to offer a similar product or as similar as possible to its characteristics. If the Customer refuses to accept a similar product, the Seller undertakes to return the money paid to the Customer within three (3) working days, as long as a prepayment has been made.
If the Customer activates the possibility of withdrawal of the Term [5] and subject to the conditions mentioned therein, the Seller undertakes within fourteen (14) days from the explicit activation of the withdrawal on behalf of the Customer to receive the products and return the money paid by the Customer.
9. Product prices, payment process and terms
The prices of the products in the online store and in the order are in euros.
The Customer pays for the products in one of the following ways:
– Payment by bank transfer during which the Customer, after receiving the confirmation of the order, transfers the money to the indicated bank account of www.kourtis.gr. After the Customer chooses this method of payment, he must transfer the money to the Seller’s bank account within three (3) working days from the submission of the order. With this specific payment method, the Customer is transferred to a secure transaction environment of the partner bank that has undertaken the routing of the cards, where he will be asked for all the details of his card.
VAT invoices include selected goods, quantities, discounts, final product price, including all taxes and any other information required by modern accounting standards.
10. Products delivery
The Seller delivers the products to the Customer according to the terms mentioned in the product descriptions. These terms are indicative and do not apply in cases where the Seller does not have the required products in stock and the Customer has been informed in a timely manner about the lack of ordered products. Delivery may, however, take place earlier after prior consultation with the Customer. Partial shipment of individual products of an order is not excluded, as long as this is agreed with the Customer.
At the same time, the Customer agrees that, in exceptional cases, delivery may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the Seller’s control. In this case the Seller undertakes the obligation to contact the Customer directly and to agree on the new terms of delivery.
In all cases, the Seller is released from liability for breach of product delivery deadlines, if the products are not delivered to the Customer or are not delivered to the Customer in a timely manner due to circumstances that depend on the Customer.
Three (3) days before delivery, the Seller contacts the Customer to agree on the exact delivery time to him/her or to the agency / transport company he/she has chosen. Orders are processed within the working eight hours (09:00 am – 17:00 pm) except Saturdays, Sundays and (official) holidays.
In any case, the Seller informs the Customer in time about the delivery time.
When ordering products, the Customer can choose the method of delivery of the products, ie. to use the delivery service provided by the Seller, or to undertake them from the collection point of the Seller.
Delivery of products to the Customer:
The Customer, who chooses the delivery service at the time of the order, undertakes to indicate the exact place of delivery of the products.
The Customer undertakes to accept the products himself. In case the Customer mentioned in the order as the recipient cannot receive it himself/herself, he/she must notify the Seller in time. In the event that the Customer cannot accept the products and the products are delivered to the specified address and based on other information provided by the Customer, the Customer is not entitled to make claims against the Seller regarding the delivery of the products to an unsuitable person.
Delivery (transfer) of products within Attica ιs free and is performed by the Seller, while in the rest of Greece t is performed by an agency / transport company freely selected by the Customer, who assumes responsibility for their shipment and costs.
In case the delivery address given by the Customer is difficult to access by the Seller’s means of transport (eg. truck) or the seller’s means of transport are not allowed to enter, then the Customer is requested to notify about this when placing the order so that appropriate measures can be taken. In case the information is not provided, then the Seller has the right to deliver the products to the point closest to its means of transport or to request an additional charge from the Customer for the delivery of the goods to the sidewalk of the entrance.
The furniture is delivered only to the place where the transport vehicle can reach.
Within Attica the Seller undertakes the obligation to transport the furniture to the exact place of delivery (eg. to move the furniture to the Customer’s apartment). In cases where the ascent of the products to the floor is considered impossible by the stairs or by the elevator, then the delivery will be made at an additional cost of crane charging if the Customer consents to it.Within Attica almost all the furniture is delivered unassembled in boxes and assembled by the Seller on the spot.
Outside Attica all the furniture is delivered unassembled in boxes from an agency chosen by the Customer and in cases where assembly is required, the furniture is accompanied by assembly instructions and the necessary for this accessories.
Collection from the Seller’s collection points:
The Customer can pick up the products free of charge from the Seller’s collection point, when they are available, ie. from the central warehouses of the company “IOANNIS A. KOURTIS SA” in Kifissia, Attica (6 Malakonta Street, PC: 145 64).
The ordered products must be received no later than twenty (20) days from the receipt of the Seller’s confirmation that the order is ‘ready’ (the products have been collected and are ready for receipt). If the Customer does not receive the products on time, the Seller notifies him by e-mail and in case he does not respond reserves the right to terminate the order without notice and return the amount paid.
Products can only be picked up by the person who placed the order or the person named at the time of the order. Upon receipt of the products, it is necessary to transfer and present a valid identity document (identity card, passport or new model of driving license) to the employee of the Seller.
When delivering the products to the Customer, the Customer, together with the Seller or his authorized representative, checks the status of the shipment and the items and signs the delivery-receipt document. Upon receipt of the shipment from the Customer, the products are considered to have been delivered in the proper condition, show no defects and there are no differences in the composition of the items. If the Customer notices that the packaging of the products is damaged (crumpled, wet or has been damaged in any way externally), the products are damaged or not properly assembled, they must mark it, in the presence of the Seller or the dealer/employee to the transport agency’s employee to write a report regarding the breach/discrepancy with the order. If the Customer does not take such action, the Seller will be released from liability to the Customer for any defects in the products, unless these defects could not be detected by external inspection.
If the Seller does not deliver the products on time and the Customer has paid for the products and their delivery, the Seller will contact the Customer, trying to determine another delivery time. If the Customer does not receive the products, these products will be returned to the Seller, the order will be canceled and the Customer’s money, if paid, will be returned to the same bank account.
11. Product warranty
The characteristics of each product sold at www.kourtis.gr are listed in the general description of each product.
Seller is not responsible for the fact that the products in the online store may not match the actual size, shape and color of the products due to the display features used by the Customer.
The products are covered only by the legal guarantee of 24 months, starting from the date of delivery, as defined by the EU, unless the product description also mentions any additional commercial guarantee from the Seller.
Warranty conditions:
- During the assembly process, the Customer must have followed the assembly instructions.
- The product has been used for its intended purpose and is maintained in accordance with the rules of supervision.
The Customer loses the guarantee right in case:
- Did not follow the rules of maintenance and supervision of products.
- The products were damaged by the Customer.
- Η Product wear does not result from force majeure.
Under EU law, defective products must be repaired or replaced within the legal two-year warranty period at no charge to the Customer. Charges also include any shipping costs. Therefore, in principle, the Seller bears all the shipping costs (the costs of sending the defective product from the Customer to the Seller and the return of the repaired product to the Customer).
However, the Seller reserves the right to check if the product is defective upon delivery. In this case, the Customer bears the cost of transporting the product back to the Seller and may later request a refund of the shipping costs, provided that the Seller agrees that the product was indeed defective.
The Seller is not responsible for the damage of the products due to misuse by the Customer. It only needs to inform the Customer in the product description about how it should maintain the products that need special care, such as e.g. that the leather is a sensitive material that can be easily damaged by sweat or the use of unsuitable cleaning products.
12. Product return and replacement
The Customer can withdraw, ie return the product, without specifying the reason, within fourteen (14) calendar days from the day of receipt, if the product is in the original packaging and has not been used.
Defective products are either corrected or replaced.
In order to return the products in accordance with this Term, the Customer informs the Seller via the e-mail maroussi@kourtis.gr (Customer can send photos of defects or damage so that the Seller responds more easily and quickly in order to fix the problem).
The following conditions must be met when returning the products to the Customer:
- the returned product must be in its original packaging. It goes without saying that for the inspection of the product, of course, the Customer can cut the packaging tape that keeps the packages closed.
- the product must not be damaged by the Customer (changes in the appearance of the product or its packaging that were necessary for the inspection of the product cannot be considered as substantial changes in the appearance of the product).
- the product must not be used without loss of commercial appearance (intact labels, protective films, etc.).
- good quality assembled products cannot be returned.
- he return of the product must be accompanied by proof of purchase and delivery and the warranty card, if there was any.
Returns of linen with open packages (eg sheets, duvets, pillows, pillow and mattress protectors, etc.) are not accepted.
The Seller has the right not to accept the products returned by the Customer, if the Customer does not follow the return procedure defined in this Term.
Returned products can be delivered by the Customer himself. If the Customer does not have the opportunity to return the products himself, the Seller undertakes to pick up the products and replace them with similar suitable products. In the event that the Seller does not have similar products, it returns to the Customer the money paid for the product(s) sold. The Seller must return the money to the Customer within fourteen (14) days from the receipt of the request to cancel the purchase. However, the Seller may not return the money to the Customer, if he does not receive the products or a receipt for their return within fourteen (14) days of being notified of the cancellation of the purchase. Returns and product changes are made in accordance with the Terms in force at the time the Customer’s intention to return/change was expressed.
In all cases, the money for the returned products is transferred by payment order to the payer’s bank account only. Money is returned only for the product and not for the paid services. The returned products will be received from the nearest place that can reach the trucks of the Seller or the transport agency and their partners.
13. Responsibility
The Customer is fully responsible for the correctness of the personal data he/she provides to the Seller. If the Customer does not provide accurate personal data, the Seller is not responsible for any consequences and is entitled to claim from the Customer compensation for any direct damages that may occur.
The Customer is responsible for the operations carried out through this online store.
The registered Customer is responsible for the transfer of login data to third parties. If the services provided by www.kourtis.gr are used by a third party that connects to the online store using the Customer login data, the Seller treats this person as a Customer.
The Seller is released from any liability in case the damage arises from the fact that the Customer, regardless of the recommendations of the Seller and his/her obligations, did not comply with these Terms, even though he/she was given such an opportunity.
If the Seller’s online store contains links to the websites of other natural or legal persons (companies, institutions, organizations, etc.), the Seller is not responsible for their operation, nor does it maintain, control or represent these websites or persons.
14. Exchange of information
The Seller sends all notifications in accordance with paragraph [3.2.] Of these Terms to the email address provided by the Customer.
15. Final provisions
If the Customer is not satisfied with the quality of the products purchased or the quality of the service provided, he/she can inform the management of the Company via e-mail to the address: maroussi@kourtis.gr. These Terms have been updated by June 1, 2020. Any changes to the Terms will be announced in accordance with the Term [2.6.].

Copyright and trademark
All the design of the website, the text, the graphics, the selection and its settings, are the intellectual property of the company “IOANNIS A. KOURTIS SA” and are protected under the relevant provisions of Greek and European law and international conventions. All rights reserved, any text or image bearing the symbols ‘KOURTIS’ are trademarks or registered trademarks and are used herein with the permission of their respective owners.
17. Alternative Dispute Resolution
According to Directive 2013/11/EC, which was incorporated into Greek law with the Joint Ministerial Decision 70330/2015, now provides for the possibility of electronic settlement of consumer disputes with the Alternative Dispute Resolution procedure (ADR – Alternative Dispute Resolution) throughout the European Union.
