The story of “Banci” begins in Florence in 1899, with the work of an artisan, Giuseppe,
who restored mirrors and chandeliers for the antiquarians of “Santo Spirito”
neighbourhood and the noble residences of the city centre.
Giuseppe, the founder, had a son, Gastone, and a daughter, Gina, who, between the 1930’s and the 1940’s, continued to restore antiques and began to produce their own
fixtures. Gastone travelled a lot, buying unique glasses and crystals; Gina, worked in the workshop, joining the various elements and creating the first “Banci” chandeliers.
